Obioma Liyel-Imoke
Her Excellency, Lady Dr. Obioma Imoke is a distinguished public servant, educator, and philanthropist who has dedicated her life to the service of humanity. As the former First Lady of Cross River State (2007-2015), she championed numerous initiatives in education, healthcare, and women's empowerment. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Cross River State. Her passion for education led to the establishment of several educational programs that have impacted thousands of children across the state. As President of the Board of Governors, she brings visionary leadership, integrity, and a deep commitment to excellence in education.
Ifeyinwa Ighodalo
Ifeyinwa Ighodalo is a renowned Nigerian entrepreneur, lawyer, and design visionary. She is the founder and CEO of DO.II Designs, a leading interior architecture and design firm in Lagos. With a background in Law from the University of Nigeria and further studies at the University of Lagos, she transitioned into design with remarkable success. Ifeyinwa is passionate about promoting African design excellence and has been recognized internationally for her innovative approach to interior architecture. She brings her entrepreneurial acumen, creative vision, and commitment to excellence to the Board of Governors, inspiring the next generation of leaders at Surefoot International School.
Professor Darlene Ekanem Bassey
Professor Darlene Ekanem Bassey is a distinguished medical professional and academic with decades of experience in radiology and medical education. She serves as the Chief Consultant Radiologist at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, where she has trained generations of medical practitioners. Her research contributions in diagnostic imaging have been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. Professor Bassey holds fellowship certifications from prestigious medical institutions and has received several awards for her contributions to healthcare and education. Her commitment to academic excellence and professional integrity makes her an invaluable member of the Board of Governors.
Maureen O. Ihonor
Maureen O. Ihonor is a dynamic and highly accomplished Senior Education Consultant with over 35 years of leadership experience across the education sector. With a distinguished career as Director of Education for a multi-campus school system and 14 years as Head of School across multiple locations, she brings exceptional expertise in educational transformation, institutional growth, and quality assurance. Her expertise includes school start-ups and expansion, curriculum design and integration, strategic and operational planning, school improvement frameworks, staff professional development, and quality assurance accreditation. She has played pivotal advisory roles in establishing respected private schools across Nigeria and is a member of the World Forum Foundation on Early Child Care and Education.
Professor Emerita Ekanem Ikpi Braide
Professor Emerita Ekanem Ikpi Braide is a trailblazer in Nigerian academia, having served as the first female Vice Chancellor of Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH). Her distinguished career in higher education spans over four decades, during which she has made significant contributions to parasitology research and academic leadership. She holds a PhD from the University of Ibadan and has supervised numerous postgraduate students. Professor Braide has received national and international recognition for her contributions to science and education, including fellowship awards from prestigious academic bodies. Her wealth of experience in university administration and academic excellence guides the Board's strategic vision.
Marian Gwendoline Solomon
Professor Marian Gwendoline Solomon is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Soil Science at the University of Calabar. With a career dedicated to agricultural research and environmental sustainability, she has contributed significantly to understanding soil fertility and sustainable farming practices in Nigeria. Professor Solomon has published extensively in international journals and has been involved in collaborative research projects with institutions across Africa and beyond. She is committed to mentoring young scientists and promoting STEM education, particularly for girls. Benjamin Onyekachi Madu
Benjamin Onyekachi Madu is a highly respected chartered accountant with extensive experience in financial management, auditing, and corporate governance.
